During the summer between my junior and senior years Steve and I were married. After high school I worked several jobs trying to find what I wanted to be when I grew up.After my fourth child was born I decided to go to college and become a teacher. I worked during the day and went to school at night while taking care of my children.I graduated in 1993 from Shorter with a BS in early childhood. I have taught in the chattooga system for 16 years. I teach at Lyerly where I went to school. This past summer I finished my masters in curriculum and instruction. I love to travel and I have had the privilege to have visited in all 50 states.
School Story:
The story that stands out in my mind was during typing class with Mrs. Brewer Beth Brady,Karen Bishop and myself cheated on a test. We used the same answer sheet. Mrs. Brewer gave Karen a A, Beth a B and me a C. We could not complain to her and had to just take the grade.
I also remember having to walk to the recreation center for P.E. on cold winter days.
Jack Mayo was my homeroom teacher and he was a "hoot".
